Launch of the FWC for analytical services on knowledge and skills of farmers, social and societal aspects of agriculture and rural areas

We are thrilled to announce that ADE was selected to lead the implementation of the framework contract for analytical services on knowledge and skills of farmers, social and societal aspects of agriculture and rural areas, commissioned by DG AGRI (European Commission). ADE is leading the consortium with ÖIR and IFLS. The consortium includes academic and research partners from 10 Member States and covers all EU Member States.

Our work will focus on social, societal and knowledge dimensions of agriculture and rural areas of the CAP. Topics cover notably generational renewal—including access to land—the vitality of rural areas, and safeguarding food quality. These topics also encompass raising consumer awareness about the importance of healthy, sustainable diets and the agricultural systems that support them.

Various CAP specific objectives will be covered, namely:

• Support to generational renewal (SO7) including access to land,
• Vibrant rural areas (SO8),
• Protecting food and health quality (SO9) including transparency and traceability of agri-food products as well as consumer awareness about the importance of healthy and sustainable diets,
• As well as the cross-cutting objective fostering knowledge and innovation (SO10).
