We are excited to announce the publication of the Second Evaluation Report for the Mid-Term Evaluation on the BioCarbon Fund Initiative for Sustainable Forest Landscapes (ISFL) managed by the World Bank. See the post here.
The summary report is available here.
The evaluation was conducted by the Impact Department of ADE, Tatiana Goetghebuer, Detlev Puetz, Michael Richards, Bruna Almeida, Kevin Henkens and Marçal Obiols.
Since 2013, ISFL has aimed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through sustainable land use in Colombia, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Mexico, and Zambia. Supported by Germany, Norway, Switzerland, the UK, and the USA, the ISFL is a pioneering initiative in environmental sustainability. ISFL’s strategic vision has carved out a niche in greenhouse gas accounting, emission reduction crediting, results-based climate finance and has shown resilience and adaptability in dynamic environments.
The second ISFL evaluation reviews six years of ISFL’s journey, analyzing its achievements, challenges and lessons while looking forward to further refine its approaches, instruments and learning.
Thanks to the ADE team and local partners for this amazing work!
