ADE has completed the final impact evaluation of the BeniBiz project, involving quanti and quali data collection from approximately 600 entrepreneurs across Benin, in just 4 months’ time!
The final report is available here.
The BeniBiz project (2017-2022) aimed to strengthen economic opportunities and empower entrepreneurs in Benin, with a special focus on young people and women. It was financed by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and implemented by TechnoServe and BoPInc.
Meeting this challenge would not have been possible without a fantastic team and talented assistants on the field.
After an exploratory mission in Cotonou (January 2022) to meet key stakeholders and local partners, ADE carried out data collection activities in February and March 2022 on around 600 entrepreneurs: survey using ADE’s CAPI-G®, Computed Assisted Personal Interview in Group approach, which has proven to be efficient and reliable.
BeniBiz’ objective is to stimulate the growth of micro and small enterprises, hence reducing youth unemployment, and among other, strengthening economic autonomy of young men and women as well as developing local economic network. BeniBiz is implemented by TechnoServe and BOPInc and has an institutional anchoring in three ministries (agriculture, SMEs and Finance). The learnings of this evaluation were shared with the beneficiaries and main stakeholders, and the recommendations are taken into consideration in the formulation of the second phase of the project to scale-up the results.
