In 2019-2020, ADE implemented the evaluation of the CAP’s impact on knowledge exchange and advisory services for the DG AGRI. This work allowed connecting with the H2020 AGRILINK project (https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/727577 ) and the project leader Pierre Labarthe, researcher at the French National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and Environment (INRAE).

Together, Pierre Labarthe and Monika Beck (Head of the Agricultural, Rural Development and Environment Department at ADE) participated to the 25th European Seminar on Extension and Education (ESEE) conference, organised in June 2021 in Ireland (hosted by Teagasc Ballyhaise Agricultural College, Cavan).

Afterwards, they decided to further cross their perspectives and wrote an article entitled “CAP and Advisory Services: From Farm Advisory Systems to Innovation support”, published by Eurochoices. This article, available here, focuses on the CAP advisory measures and draws lessons from the implementation of the CAP instruments and measures (regulations) of the current 2014–2022 CAP in knowledge transfer and advisory services. In this regard, it to contributes to debates about the future of farm advisory policies.
