We are pleased to announce that ADE is starting the ex post evaluation of the 2014-2022 Walloon rural development programme, commissioned by the Walloon Region.
The ex post evaluation will address thirty common evaluation questions, organised by priority and focus area of the Walloon rural development programme (RDP). It will examine issues specific to Walloon local priorities, as well as the RDP’s contribution to the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) objectives. Additionally, the evaluation allows to enhance the current Wallon CAP Strategic Plan (2023-2027) and provide valuable insights for shaping future programming beyond 2027. The evaluation will cover a wide range of topics, notably:
- Promoting knowledge transfer and innovation in rural areas,
- Improving the viability and competitiveness of farms,
- Promoting the organisation of the food chain or restoring and preserving ecosystems linked to agriculture and forestry,
- Supporting the bioeconomy through the efficient use of resources including shift towards a low carbon and climate resilient economy in agriculture,
- Promoting territorial, local and socio-economic development in rural areas (including generational renewal, young farmers and LEADER programme).
