On behalf of the African Development Bank (AfDB), ADE conducted an evaluation of the Bank’s programme in Egypt over the period 2009-2018.

This evaluation assessed the Bank’s assistance to Egypt in terms of development results as well as AfDB’s management.

It covered a portfolio of 51 projects distributed among eight high-level sectors together with non-lending activities (knowledge work, capacity building, policy dialogue and technical assistance)

This evaluation also had a prospective and learning dimension since it aims at identifying successes and challenges in order to provide lessons and recommendations, which will be used to inform the design of the AfDB’s new country strategy paper (CSP).

The final report can be found here.
