Internship in the Economic Governance Department

We are looking for a new intern to join the Economic Governance department at ADE for a 5-6 month internship!

ADE is structured in different departments: Impact, Evaluation, Agriculture and Rural Development, Humanitarian Action and Economic Governance. The Economic Governance department provides technical assistance and undertakes studies, evaluations, and diagnostics related to Public Financial Management and macroeconomic reforms. Supports the design and implementation of budget support operations.

 

What you will do:

 

As an intern at ADE, you will actively participate in a variety of projects and business development activities. More specifically, you will contribute to:

  • Support to tendering processes, including support to search of expertise, budget preparation and proposal writing.
  • Support to project management, including support to project administration and financial management
  • Quantitative and qualitative research and analysis, including data collection and analysis using various tools and methodologies.
  • Participating in report drafting and contributing to the creation of visualizations for client presentations.
  • Contributing to other ADE activities, such as knowledge dissemination

 

We are looking for a candidate with:

 

MAIN SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Currently studying for a Master’s university degree, in Economics, Political Sciences, or similar (at least with Economics as a minor) – student status is mandatory
  • Solid research and writing skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Outstanding analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in teams
  • Good command of the main computer software packages (Word, PPT, and Excel)
  • Excellent level of written and spoken English; other languages (French, Spanish, Arabic) are a plus

WOULD BE AN ASSET

  • Knowledge and interest in PFM, macroeconomic reforms, and budget support operations
  • Strong interest in business development
  • Strong skills in economic analysis
