Internship ADE’s Agricultural and Rural Department

Passionate about agriculture, rural and regional development?
Interested in the CAP and CAP support to rural areas?

We are looking for 2 full-time interns to join our Agriculture, Rural development and Environment department from August or September for a period of 5-6 months.

We are currently looking for interns to participate to our department studies and tenders including evaluations on CAP support to rural areas and possibly development cooperation projects.

ADE is one of Europe’s leading consultancies. We are based in Louvain-la-Neuve, near Brussels, Belgium.

We support senior decision-makers in formulating, monitoring, implementing and evaluating public policies and strategies.

Our areas of specialisation include notably:

  • Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment

  • Strategic and Impact Evaluations & Monitoring
  • Humanitarian Aid
  • Conflict Resolution, Security, and Fragility

Clients include the European Commission (various Directorates-General), EU Member States’ minitries, managing authorities and cooperation agencies (France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria, Denmark, Netherlands,…), the African Development Bank, UN agencies, ministries in southern countries, and others.

 

We are looking for a candidate with:

 

  • An ongoing Master 2 degree in economics, agronomy, geography, or other related fields, preferably in the second year of master
  • Knowledge of the CAP in particular rural development
  • Excellent project planning, management and organisational skills, with ability to multitask under tight deadlines
  • Co-operative and supportive team player mindset with ‘Can Do’ attitude
  • Good stress-resistance and ability to work independently
  • Excellent problem-solving ability
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English is required with a good level of written and spoken French
  • Knowledge of evaluation would be an asset
  • Good command of the Office suite

  • Literature review
  • Data collection & analysis
  • Support for the implementation of surveys
  • Interviews and reporting
  • Analytical support for case studies
  • Contribution to report drafting
