You could join one of the two following teams:
- Evaluation Department: policy and strategy-level work across countries or sectors. Example: Evaluation of EU support to Education.
- Impact Department: programme and project evaluations related to development and environmental issues. Example: impact of gender in water infrastructure project in Madagascar for the European Investment Bank.
Position Summary
We are seeking an in-house mid-level Consultant to join our Impact or Evaluation Department team (two open positions), starting as soon as possible.
Your key responsibilities:
- Participate in evaluation studies conducted by ADE, particularly in respect of:
- Evaluation design
- Quantitative and qualitative research and analysis
- Short-term field missions
- Report writing
- Contribute to other ADE activities, including proposal application, business development, project and people management, and knowledge dissemination.
Candidate Profile
- Must have:
- Master’s degree or PhD in data or analytical fields (e.g. economics, engineering, political science)
- About 5-10 years of professional experience
- Interest in international cooperation and development
- Outstanding quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
- Excellent strategic, high-level thinking skills
- Organisational and planning skills
- Interpersonal skills and ability to work in teams
- Interest in and experience with AI
- Very good level of written and spoken English; good level in French
- EU nationality or valid work permit required – job based in Belgium
- Fully proficient in MS Office (especially Word, Outlook and Excel).
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of evaluation of public policies
- Knowledge of survey and statistical tools
- Knowledge of development finance
- Knowledge of the functioning of EU, UN or other institutions and policies
- Knowledge/interest in data/computer science
- Knowledge of Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Arabic, or other languages
