Launch of the Evaluation of the ECHO response to the Syrian crisis

< back to news page

ECHO, the European Commission’s DG for Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection, has launched a high level, sensitive and strategic evaluation of its response to the Syrian crisis. It will cover Syria and its neighboring countries (Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey).

The evaluation reviews the period 2012 – 2014 and incorporates aspects of both real-time and retrospective evaluation. It will indeed provide a structured and comprehensive assessment of ECHO’s operations, while giving almost simultaneous feed-back for immediate use and provide a prospective assessment to identify practical options and recommendations for future strategy.
