Qualifications and skills

•    A Master's Degree in the Social Sciences, in particular, Gender and Development Studies,
     Labour Economics, or any related social discipline. In its absence, equivalent professional
     experience of three (3) years which must be above the general professional experience
     duration fixed below in addition to at least a university degree.
   
 General professional experience
   
•     A minimum of 12 years post-degree relevant professional experience in the social sector.
   
 Specific professional experience
   
•     At least 3 previous assignments related to gender studies; preparation of gender country
      profiles, or gender analyses in developing countries.
•     Knowledge of international/regional agreements and initiatives on gender (UN, CEDAW,
      Beijing, Protocol on the Rights of Women in Africa etc.).
•     Demonstrated experience in managing a team of experts eg. team leader position.
•     Experience on gender issues related to infrastructure development would be an asset.
•     Experience in data analysis is a plus.
•     Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office.
•     Excellent oral and writing skills in English.
